Physics
The department has a set of qualified teachers responsible for teaching physics to first and second year students. The laboratory is well equipped and has a separate dark room for experiments on optics. It has facilities for conducting all the experiments prescribed by the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology. The laboratory has adequate facilities to accommodate 36 students at a time. Time students are instructed on proper handling of the apparatus and on the procedure to be followed and precaution to be taken in doing experiments. Care is taken to see that the students perform the experiment themselves. The department subject the students to continuous evaluation.

 The Chemistry Laboratory is well equipped with adequate facilities for 30 students.

Mathematics:
 The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1996, the year of inception of the Institute. The department has experienced and qualified faculty members engaged in teaching at BE levels of the BPUT and Utkal University.
The member of the faculty are actively engaged in research in Numerical Analysis, Fluid Dynamics, Differential Equations, Complex analysis, Operation Research and optimization theory.
Humanities:
The Department has several segments : English, Human Resource management, Organizational Behavior and Economics. The department aim s at honing up the skills in the upcoming techies. So as to prepare them for a better organizational and professional life ahead. The Communicative English practice Laboratory was set up in 2004 after the introduction of the new syllabus by BPUT. The laboratory with a capacity to accommodate 40 student is equipped with lingua phone kits and audio system. The laboratory conducts regular tests, which are designed by he concerned teacher so as to improvise the communication skills reading, writing, speaking, and listening of the student. In first semester we focus on improving the speaking ability of the student and in second semester the focus is on improving the writing skill of the student.
